Economic Boycotts
These large companies have faced significant pressure to dismantle their Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs and initiatives. This retreat from commitment raises concerns about the progress made in fostering inclusive environments within the workplace. DEI efforts have been instrumental in addressing systemic inequalities and creating opportunities for underrepresented groups. The pushback against these initiatives not only undermines the hard work and dedication of those advocating for equity but also threatens to reverse the strides made towards a more just society. It is crucial to stand firm in the face of adversity and continue to champion the values of diversity and inclusion. WE WON’T GO BACK!

Indigenous Land Acknowledgement
The State of Michigan occupies the ancestral, traditional and contemporary lands of the Anishinaabek - Three Fires Confederacy, the Odawa (Ottawa), Ojibwa (Chippewa), and Bode’wadmi (Potawatomi). The Michigan Democratic Party recognizes historic Indigenous communities in Michigan, and those who were forcibly removed from their homelands. We further recognize the ongoing relationship of dependence upon, and respect for, all living beings of earth, sky and water. In offering this land acknowledgement we affirm Indigenous sovereignty, history and experiences.
